What Are Eyelash Extensions?

 Lash Extensions are single  strands of synthetic eyelashes that are curved to replicate a natural eyelash. They come in different lengths, diameters and curls. They are applied to each individual natural eyelash one by one for a natural and beautiful look. Eyelash Extensions are perfect for special occasions or for day to day wear.

What do Eyelash Extensions look like when applied?
With proper application, meaning one synthetic eyelash applied to one natural lash the look and feel is completely natural looking and real. Noone will know you have extensions. They will just think you were born with beautiful, long lashes!

How long will a set of Eyelash Extensions Last?
When applied properly, eyelash extensions will last the length of the natural growth cycle of your eyelashes. Everyone’s experience will differ based on day to day activities but over all touchups should only be required every 2 to 3 weeks. 


How often should I get touch-ups?
We recommend getting a touch up every 2 to 3 weeks. 

Can I swim, shower, exercise, or visit a spa while wearing Eyelash Extensions?
Yes. The adhesive we use is waterproof and allows you to shower, swim, exercise etc. Special care is required but overall maintenance is low. 

Can I use Eyelash Curlers with Eyelash Extensions?
NO! We do not recommend using mechanical eyelash curlers on your eyelash extensions as these curlers will damage the extensions and possibly your own natural lashes.

How do I take care of my new Eyelash Extensions?

WASH YOUR LASHES DAILY WITH A WASH MADE FOR LASH EXTENSIONS.
• Avoid hot steam or sauna
• Do not rub your eyes
• Use water based eye makeup remover
• Do not perm your lashes
• Do not use a mechanical eyelash curler
• Do not pull on your lashes (this may cause your natural lashes to come out prematurely)
• DO LIE and say they are yours:)

 

Preparing for your eyelash extension appointment can help ensure that you get the best results and maximize the longevity of your lashes.

Avoid using oil-based products: Oil-based products can weaken the adhesive used for eyelash extensions, so it's best to avoid using any oil-based skincare or makeup products around the eye area before your appointment. This includes creams, serums, and makeup removers. Opt for water-based alternatives instead.

Clean your lashes thoroughly: Before your appointment, make sure your lashes are clean and free of any makeup, oils, or residue. Use a gentle oil-free cleanser or a specifically formulated lash cleanser to remove any traces of mascara, eyeliner, or eye creams. Ensure that your lashes are completely dry before your appointment.

Avoid caffeine or stimulants: Consuming caffeine or other stimulants can make your eyes twitch or flutter during the procedure, which can make it more challenging for the technician to apply the lashes accurately. Try to avoid these substances for a few hours before your appointment.

Arrive with makeup-free eyes: On the day of your appointment, avoid wearing any eye makeup, including mascara, eyeliner, and eyeshadow. This will ensure that the technician has a clean canvas to work with and can focus on applying the extensions properly.

 

The application process is pain-free and relaxing that most clients fall asleep during the procedure. However, improper application by an unqualified eyelash technician can cause damage to your natural lashes. We recommend only using a Certified Eyelash Extension Specialist.

How long will it take to Apply Eyelash Extensions and how is it done?
The application process for lash extensions normally takes anywhere from 45 min. – 1.5 hours with someone who is experienced doing these. If you go to a newly certified professional it may take up to 3 hours. You will lay comfortably on a massage or facial table with your eyes closed. The Eyelash professional will then apply an under eye gel pad to cover your lower lashes . Then the extensions will be applied to each individual eyelash on a hair by hair basis
